Around the House

Our long haired dog...

and our short-haired dog. She got her summer haircut.

Lucas' cheese face. If you get a camera out he does this face and says cheese.

Playing in the "boat"

Lucas' first icecream cone all to himself.

They loved playing with the water hose. Both were soaked when finished.

My Loves!

Lucas likes to sit on our drawings...

which gives him a colorful butt :)

He woke up from his nap with this awesome hair!

Needed a quick nap.

Play Time

Some pictures of the boys playing with their cousins.

Feedin The Ducks

We went to the park one day & fed the ducks some bread. Then had lunch at "chips" (what Keldan calls El San Jose).

Lucas thought it was for him, good thing it was still good :)

Home Project

Our big home project this year is our front porch. There was carpet, which was nasty, and after the winter from Joe shoveling snow off, it had begun ripping apart. It looked really bad, so we knew we had to tackle that. We actually were expecting to redo the whole thing, but after pulling carpet off we realized the top part was not bad, just the steps were needing some help. So Joe, with help from his 2 brothers & my dad, were going to do them. Between sledge hammer & jack hammer they removed the old steps. My uncle had a cement mixer that we had borrowed to use for the steps, but after pricing the cement and a call to an actual concrete place, we realized it would be cheaper to hire someone to do it. Joe called Monday to get an estimate & by Thursday we had new steps. We were surprised how quick they were able to get to us but so thankful! They did an amazing job. They even ended up taking the slab in front of the steps out as well & redoing it. So pleased with the ending result. We are planning on painting it all in July so the steps match the rest of the porch.

Ugly & falling apart!

All torn out

Of course the boys had to "help" a little too :)

Just beautiful!

Thanks guys for helping!! We really appreciate it!

Cloth Diapers

I always said I would never cloth diaper. The thought of it just grossed me out. Well guess what...I'm a cloth diaper lover! My sis-in-law had some extras and talked me into borrowing them to try them. Which I was thankful for because I was still hesitant and the thought of spending all that money for me not to like them or my babes sensitive behinds not liking them. They actually turned out not so bad. It is kind of costly upfront to purchase everything to get started, but it equaled to about 3 months of disposables so I'd say its WELL worth it. I decided to only using them on Lucas, hoping Keldan will want to be potty trained soon.

I bought some Bumgenius 4.0s, Fuzzibunz, and Rumparooz (20 altogether). They are the one size pocket (newborn-potty train) diapers. I only purchased one rumparooz because they are bit more pricey, but it is actually my favorite. I like the new bumgenius ones just as well and they were cheaper so I will probably stick with them. I only need one insert in them for 3 hrs and they fit my marshmallow thighed boy perfect. The fuzzibunz are not bad, they are less bulky but I'm not a big fan of how they fit him. With those I would have to use 2 inserts for 3 hrs, but for now I just use 1 and change him about every hr and half-2 hrs. I think I will like them more with a smaller baby.

I am definitely sticking with it easier because I have a sprayer! It attaches to your toilet then you can spray the deposit off and flush it then throw them in the washer. Not as painful as I imagined.

He still wears a disposable during the night, not ready to try them since he wears them 12+ hrs, afraid of leaking and being up in the middle night to change everything.

I also purchased a wet bag for when we are not at home. Definitely worth it too.
So yes, I love cloth diapers and love the new Bumgenius 4.0s one size pockets. So excited to get more and LOVE saving money...or to spend it on better things for the boys :)

Here are the bumgenius ones. Don't have many pictures of Lucas in them yet since its colder and he has to stay dressed. Sure there will be lots this summer :)

Ultrasound

My ultrasound appointment was at 10:20 and let me tell you that morning was so extremely slow! The boys of course went with us to see the baby, as Keldan says "go to mama's doctor to see baby sister". He's going to be disappointed if its not a girl. She first looked to make sure everything was measuring correctly for the baby. Heartbeat was 150 I think (can't remember at the moment) and weighed 10 oz. She said everything looked good. Now on to the part I was most excited about..boy or girl. Of all times the baby decided to sit indian style & had the umbilical cord coming up through the legs. Could not see! She even had me go to the bathroom and jiggled my belly around and nothing. This baby was sound asleep..for once. Normally he/she is very active but of course this time he/she decided to take a nap. She tried for quite awhile and the baby would not budge. So we didn't get to find out what we are having yet. She said we will check again at your last ultrasound...thats not until close to the end of the pregnancy! I can't wait that long!! Such a bummer. Really hoping this isn't a sign of how he/she is going to behave...oh bring it on!

This usd was so clear, ones in the past have been a lot fuzzier. Can't believe how you can see he/shes eyes, nose, mouth, spine, hand. God is just absolutely amazing!

This pregnancy hasn't been what you call wonderful, but I've been better lately than what I was. This past Sunday was my 21 week mark, over half done! Things have been much different with this one than the other two. I have absolutely no energy, if I could I would just sleep all day and all night. But thats kind of hard when you have 2 high energized little boys to take care of. I go to the dr for my next check up in a week so going to see if there is any possible way we can get another peek at the baby ;)
