Eight Months!

Miss Mikaela Rayne is 8 months. Oh where does the time go. Her motor skills have really developed within the past month, she has had more happy days (feeling better) which resulted in her accomplishing things in no time. More and more of her ornery determined little personality is sprouting. 

*27 inches (I think the doctors were off on her last months height, I know she has grown in length but we measured her several times and that's what we got)
*little chunky monkey is up to 17lbs :)

*Mainly 6-12 month clothes because of her length.

*Still dealing with tummy troubles. She is to see a GI specialist which can't get her in til the end of June :( Doctor feels her acid reflux is just really bad, which explains why she gets better for a little then is back to hurting. I've completely cut out any foods that are the least bit acidy/gassy, which is no bananas, peas, & green beans. The consistency of the food she does eat is still fairly thin, it needs to be able to digest easily. This has seemed to work fairly well. She still has bad days where she gets the hard hiccups all day and lots of tummy aches then others (like today) where she is a "normal" 8 month old. I tried yogurt on her (read where yogurt smoothies are really good for babies with acid), didn't work, so now I'm worried about dairy too :( This poor girl has had a time in her short little life.

*She's a little inchworm. Has been getting on her hands and knees for a long time and rocks but that's been it. She pulls herself everywhere or scoots backwards and turns around :)

*She started pulling herself up, first to her knees then either sits or continues to pull herself up all the way to her feet.

*She loves to stand at things, feels like such a big girl. She also has begun to stand completely on her own (not holding on to anything) for several seconds :) She is so ready to be wrestle & run with her brothers!

*Started more baby babbling, has done yaba or yama, but not what I would say her first word yet, but shouldn't be long :)

*She loves to do the dropping game with Keldan & Lucas especially since they pick it up everytime :) Keldan does fairly good with "sharing" with his little sister. He realizes she doesn't know that you can't take toys from someone so he tries to teach her (oh yes he loves teaching her things!), but Lucas is not quite as patient :) He usually yells "kaela rayne, that's not yours that's mine" :)

*She loves the outdoors. Loves to play in the grass and dirt.
*She loves her brothers & they love her, sometimes too much. If she is up playing, I have a hard time getting them to leave her alone :) I'd much rather it be that way than them wanting nothing to do with her!

My big girl standing at a chair that isn't the most sturdy, it kept trying to fall over but she caught herself and would sit it back up :) She's getting too big!
