Registration for the 2013-14 school year was this month...can not believe its time for that already!! From the beginning we had always planned for Keldan to do another year (5 year class) of preschool (many reasons for this decision). After a quick discussion with his teacher in December she said he has come along SOOOO far in his learning and felt she was not ready to really answer my question if we should wait another year. We decided we felt it was best to wait anyways but it was soooo great to hear how well he's doing. After signing him up his teacher said we will discuss it later in our conference but she totally understood where we were coming from. She said really he is ready for kindergarten with what he can do now, but if we want him to be a little stronger and a little more confident she would wait a year too. We feel mentally he needs another year to grow. The 5 year class is 4 days so that will help us get more used to regular school :) We also signed Lucas up for the 3 year old class (just 2 days a week). We LOVE St Johns Pre-K and felt why not send him too, just to get used to other kids and someone else to listen too. It's definitely going to be a budget change in the fall since we will be sending 2 (little pricey) but we feel it's the best thing for them and that's all that matters!!

I got the privilege of helping out in class again. I only took two pictures, those little ones sure keep me busy ;) I had to keep sending them back to their centers because they kept coming over to hang out with me, I felt pretty cool ;) Was also super proud of Keldan, as I have said before he is reserved and becomes unsure of himself, but he is emerging :) Mrs. Mueller told me that he is starting to strike up conversations with the others and actually rose his hand because he had something to share with everyone :) She said "I wanted to jump up and hug the pieces out of him" :)
My little firefighter :)

Show & Tell: Favorite Healthy Snack (Strawberry)
Keldan's field trip for the month was to Buehlers...
Watching her slice a loaf of bread and package it.

Checking out one of the coolers. They got to go in a couple more coolers and the freezer too :)

Looking at the lobster

Was so bummed, he actually touched the lobster and of course this is what I got :( He was too quick!

Watching boxes get crushed. They thought this was cool.

Getting ready to make turtle bread

watching this lady decorate a choc chip cookie.

After he tore the dough apart (I only had to help a little) and made it look like a turtle he "painted" it with egg.

Ready to be baked. I didn't capture a picture after it was baked..he ate it too quickly ;)
