So I procrastinated yet again...as always.... I had wanted to do the "angel" idea like my sis-in-law is doing with her daughter and I kept putting it off and when I thought I could plan for it my mind left due to kids being sick :( So no angel this year, but we are still trying to do fun things to countdown to Jesus' birthday. The angel is kind of like the whole elf on the shelf thing except she teaches you giving is better than receiving. Since we are on a budget we can't really do all of the "giving" so we are trying to incorporate some fun traditions that make it feel special to the kids too. We put our tree up, played in the lights, they FINALLY got their wish and went grocery shopping in their pajamas, and watched Christmas shows when they are on TV before bed. I have a list of some more things that we will be able to easily tackle (few of them will be geared towards the giving). I WILL be ready next year :)
Keldan did participate in the penny drive at his preschool. I explained to him as he helped out he would get pennies and then he can take them to his school who will put them all together and send them to a place that will buy toys for kids who don't get any presents. He thought this was awesome!!
Every time we go past the nativity at Dover square he always talks about baby Jesus, so after eating a yummy meal at "Chips" we decided to stop by. The boys loved it!! Keldan was so upset when we had to leave. I think it was a little too much for Mikaela, I put her down to get a picture and she cried ;) I really hope we can make it to one of the live nativities, I think they would love that.

I love how these little ones see this as more than just a holiday decoration. I love it that they want to see it up close and are curious. Allie was in awe too. And I love mixing in fun things along with the giving. We can't give for 25+ days straight either.... As much as I'd love to.... :). Great job! You are a fantastic momma!!!!!
