Happy 1 Month!

Mikaela is 1 month already! Can not believe it. She is just growing like crazy and changing her looks I think. What shes up to:

*9lbs 4oz...can she really be that big already?!

*22 inches long. She grew 2 inches in 1 month!

*3.5 oz of formula (Nutramigen) every 3 hrs, getting up about once during night to eat.

*Just now in 0-3 months, size 1 diapers.

*Holding her head up very well. Does not like tummy time at all.

*Will smile at me when I talk to her :) Love it! Looks for me if she hears my voice.

*Takes a lot of little catnaps throughout the day.

Is she a good baby? Sadly no :( Her reflux has been really bad. Very fussy, screams a lot from the tummy aches, and not laying too much on her own. It's been a LONG couple of weeks. Do not like to see her in pain! Finally had to put her on Zantac and added rice to bottles. It was a medium dose, not seeming to help so today (at her mth check up) her doctor upped the amount. Going to try that and if no success then we will try the other reflux medicine. She also would like her to do a swallowing test at Akron Children's Hospital. Keldan had to have it done when he was a baby. They just watch the esophagus while she eats just to make sure its not bothering it and to see if they should try a different thickenings of the formula other than rice. Other than her poor tummy problems she is perfect :)

It's amazing, I'm completely exhausted from trying to keep her from hurting but she gives me that beautiful smile as soon as she hears or sees me and I just melt! Oh how I love her! She also loves me to rub my cheek against her head ;) Wish they would stay like that :)
