Sunday Keldan turned 3. I can't believe he is that old already. Where has the time gone?! We started the morning off with some yummy cinnamon rolls, made a quick trip to Lowes, came home and Keldan opened one of his gifts, a pool. So we went outside and set it up and had some fun. Came in to eat and took naps then outside we went again for couple hours, then came back in for supper which was yummy pizza hut. Then played inside rest of the evening. It was so much fun this year because he really understood it was his 3rd birthday.
3 year update for Keldan:
*36 lbs & 38 3/4 in tall (90% for both)
*4T, 5T, and small (5/6) in boys clothes.
*Size 9 shoes
*Still in diapers....will be tackling that this summer I hope!
*Transitioning to no naps. This process has been a little rough, he doesn't realize if you don't nap then go to bed a little earlier. So we just go with the flow, if he seems overly tired that day then I make him take a short nap if he seems ok, then no nap for that day. I don't understand why he doesn't want to nap, I'm 26 and look forward to that little shut eye in the middle of the day :)
*He goes to bed between 8:30 & 9 and wakes up between 6:30-7:30, I don't usually go get him til closer to 8, I know he enjoys that little alone time talking to his stuffed animals he sleeps with :) Dr said the lack of sleep is just one of those stages they go through.
*Such a talker! He comments on everything, car ride is so funny, everything we pass he says something about it, nonstop. He will go up to any kid and talk to them, its so cute. There was a little girl at the drs office and he went right up to her and was talking. They were carrying conversation about animals and bees, it was absolutely adorable.
*Learning is getting a little easier, he is very layed back (except when those terrible 3s come out) so its a little more of a struggle to teach him things. So its been trial and error, learning the right strategies for him to learn. He would just much rather be playing with his toys.
*Loves to play pretend! Such an imagination, I love it.
*Favorite things are swimming in pool, pirates, super heroes, transformers, cars, & scooby doo.
Thats about all I can think of at the moment. He has really changed in the past year, talking more clearer, saying/repeating everything, understands/comprehends a lot. He does new stuff every day that just amazes me. The best big brother, he loves "baby ucas" and is so excited for "baby sister" (no we don't know what it is yet but thats what he calls the baby). I just absolutely love him, can't imagine life without him.
