Jasmine Hamsher....our new four legged addition :)
We had such a fun father's day surprising daddy with the dog he has wanted for a VERY long time.
My mom's cousin breeds german shepherds and said if she was unable to sell one of them she would let us know. She had left my mom know last week that it was looking like she would have one and thought it would be cool to give him for father's day. So just to be safe in a round about way I asked Joe if we were still interested. He kept saying oh I don't want to get my hopes up I'm sure she will sell them all and I would just kind of laugh. So the end of the week, I was pretty sure one was coming our way so I got a cage (thanks Ryan & Danielle, didn't want to buy one yet because he would know then) and hid it in the boys closet. We thought Saturday evening we would be able to get her and bring her home to surprise daddy, but it didn't work out. I found out late Saturday night that she hadn't sold any of the girls (6 of them) so we could choose. Well then I kind of wanted Joe to be able to pick. Sunday morning when I got Keldan up we were going over to say happy daddys day to him and say we are getting a puppy :) When we came down, he said happy daddys day and couldn't remember the rest so I said and what are we getting and he goes a puppy! Daddy was extremely shocked! He kept saying your joking, your not serious, oh but I was :) He couldn't believe I did all that without him knowing, I can be sneaky sometimes ;) Right away he found a spot for the cage, and him & Keldan put it together. They then had to make a trip to Walmart to get a bed, food, dishes, and her own ropes. He was acting like a kid, made me soo happy to see him that excited. That evening we made the trip to Winesburg and chose our puppy. She came to him right away and he just knew. They were all so cute, very hard to choose (at least I thought so). He came up with the name Jasmine. The boys absolutely love her! Keldan helps take care of her and sit with her, and Lucas likes to tackle & kiss her. She does so good with them, likes to tackle them too. After 2 days of being with us, she is doing very good. For the most part she lets you know if she needs something or has to go out.
Some pics from her first day with us :)
